Monday, September 8 Today is actually Chuseok. Which is like Thanksgiving in North America. So a lot of things were closed. But we going to see the Bongnae waterfall. Half of the group paid extra money to go to Dokdo, which is an island that Korea and Japan are fighting over. Japan says it belongs to them but history shows that it is Korean territory. You aren't actually allowed of the island just on the port. It's supposed to be very scenic as well. But I didn't really want to pay an extra $50 to take pictures of an island I can't explore. Also they were only there for about 30 minutes. The rest of us were going to go to the waterfall. I wore flip flops because out tour guide told us it would be a hard walk...... Then we got there and found out it was a 45 minute hike! Of course we were all pissed off, it took about 45 minutes to an hour to get up to the hike. By the time I got up I was exhausted and sweaty since I was not prepared to hike, otherwise I would have worn my running shoes! But it was a nice view, looks so much better in person! Of course I have my signature selfie. So pretty. I wish I had brought my camera charger. My battery had dies so I could take anymore pictures! And another group-ie! After seeing the waterfall we were dropped off the the boulder beach we went to yesterday. So we stayed there for a couple hours. It was a very hot day so everyone was in the water. I just sat in the water because i'm not the strongest swimmer. Such a beautiful, hot day. Loving the scenery. The beach is behind me. After we stayed here for about 2 hours we went back to the hotel to find something to eat. After that I decided I was going to take a nap and ended up sleeping for a few hours. After that I just went to find food and called it a night. I'm not a morning person, and I did a lot of waking up early and hiking I wasn't expecting.
