The Face Shop

So, when I came to Korea I only had half a bottle of my clean and clear toner left. So now it's done.I never really liked it because, it always dried out my face but made it shiny at the same time. I do have combination skin, so my skin is really dry but oily at the same time.

The facial moisturizer I use is ponds; which makes my face extra oily because it is a dry skin cream. I need moisture in my skin but this cream has TOO much moisture. By the end of the day my face always looks so greasy and I hate that.

I always heard Koreans had the best facial products so I really wanted to try it out. So I looked up The Face Shop online to read about the products they sold, since I know Koreans use a lot of product with bleach in it. I found a couple different brands that interested me but I wasn't about to buy them all.
So right now I am trying Clean Face. I bought the toner, essence and cream. I probably should have bought the facial cleanser as well, but I have this amazing green tea scrub from St.Ives that I use everyday that makes my skin so soft. But, who knows, I may actually go pick it up just so I can get the full experience.

I also didn't buy the emulsion; just because it is a lotion and I bought the cream and i'm not sure of the difference. It's hard to ask questions to Korean sales women who don't have good English! These products were about 9,500 won each, so they're affordable.

So, currently I am using my own cleanser, but I think I just may go and buy the Clean Face cleanser, just so I can tell the difference in this product vs my own product. After I use my cleanser I use this toner to clean my skin.

This product is for combination skin and is not harsh to your skin like my clean and clear toner was. It also does not have the alcohol smell, this smell is actually pleasant. This product has a combination of marshmallow, lemon myrtle extract, manuka honey, tea tree oil and some other ingredients.

Next, I used the essence. This essence is oil free and is supposed to treat trouble skin. You apply it to the t-zone of your face.

Lastly, I used the control cream. This is a oil free light weight moisturizing cream for dry skin. This is perfect for me because I have dry but oily skin; so I need the moisture just not the extra oil. It also feels very light like I have no cream on, so far i'm loving this product.

I also got a whole bunch of free samples with my purchase which I will be trying as well. Look out for a follow up post in about a month about the Clean Face line! For more information check out The Face Shop website, to find a location. There are stores all over Asia and the USA.
