Since we didn't get to do a lot of things I made sure to pack a lot of things to do on Sunday. The first thing we did was go to the Ihwa Mural Village. I have been there three times now, but I love that place. Since I already took pictures there before, I was the designated photographer. But we took a faml-ie (family selfie) picture before we left.
After the mural village we went to Gyeongbokgung palace. There are 5 palaces in Seoul, yet i've been to the same one twice. I love the views at this palace and I knew where it was, which is why I chose this one. But, the fall foliage made this one worth it. I love the pavilions here and I wanted to see what it would look like in the fall.
They had the most beautiful golden trees. So many people were taking pictures under them. I took so many selfies because the color was so gorgeous.
We took a faml-ie under them as well, although it doesn't show that great.
Then I had to take my pictures under the trees.
While we were on our way out we heard drums and we saw a group of men marching with uniforms on. But we had no idea what was going on. When I got home I checked the internet to see what was going on. Apparently every hour at all the palaces they have a "Changing of the Guards Ceremony." They wear traditional guard uniforms and reenact the ceremony.
This was at the from of the main gate, Gwanghwamun Gate.
After we took all our pictures at the palace we headed all the way to Hongdae, to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe and the Trick eye Museum and Love Museum. At the Hello Kitty Cafe we got a cheese cake and coffees. After that we walked over to the trick eye museum.
First, we went to the Love museum because it was on the first floor. On the bottom floor was the Trick eye and ice museum. The love museum is not for those of you who are shy. Check out my Gallery to see more pictures! I put the tamed ones in this post.
After all the fun in the love museum, we went downstairs to the trick eye museum. There are so many different painting to take pictures of that you could be there for hours. I went around the world in about an hour! Check out the gallery for more pictures!
Next was the ice museum. It was way too cold to be there for a long time. W basically just snapped some pictures and left. They had a living room, kitchen, a slide and other things made out of ice.
After hanging out in Hondae for a few hours we went to Itaewon for dinner. We went to this Thai/ Chinese restaurant which was really good. Too bad I can't remember the name. This weekend I was able to cross some things off my bucket list while taking my family around. Unfortunately this was the last day I would see them since I had to work in the morning. Now i'm lonely. It's nice to have familiar faces around you for a little while.
