I hate making new years resolutions. Like many others I stick to those resolutions for maybe a month then go back to my old ways again. When making resolutions make sure to have a realistic goal. When you want to accomplish something too drastic it is easy to get discouraged. Which is why this year I am going to make some goals that are actually attainable. I have 4 main goals I want to accomplish this year. So my phrase for 2015 is "don't talk about it, be about it"! save, save, saveSo, I've been in Korea for 10 months and I have not saved anything! What have I been doing all of these months? I had a whole plan of how much I would save every month but I have not followed through. Part of the reason is because I had things I wanted to do when I came here like get braces, which were cheaper than in Canada but still a few thousand dollars. I didn't have good clothes for the different seasons so I had to buy new ones and also work appropriate clothing. But, my point is I want to save a lot of money next year. I plan on budgeting and shopping a lot less next year. travel moreThere are so many countries close by Korea that I could travel to for a weekend. A flight to Japan is about 2 hours and China is about the same. I could easily go to one of these places for a weekend. I said this all last summer and did not do it. So this summer, I want to go to Japan and Hong Kong. I only get 1 week vacation every year and 2 long weekends so I would like to go somewhere further away. I also want to visit Jeju Island and Busan in Korea. Those two places have been on my bucket list! learn koreanLike I said, I have been here, in Korea for 10 months. I still only know the basic Korean to survive. Well, actually to order food. But I can't read Korean! I need to practice more and actually set aside time to learn. I want to be able to add this on my resume. Actually I just really want to know another language. keep working on my blogLast, but definitely not least. I want to keep working on my blog. After all this is my second attempt at blogging. It is a lot of hard work. But, I like that I have all my experiences and adventures here so that others can see and also I can always look back and remember. So, I want to keep it going even when i'm not in Korea anymore.
