Jeju Day 2

28/6/2015

The next day we woke up early because there were so many things we wanted to do. After eating the first thing we did was go to Cheonjeyeon Falls. From Jungmun resort it is about 16 km, not far at all. There is a fee to visit the falls, 2,500 won.

There are three different falls within the same area. This is the first one we saw. It wasn't very impressive, but the colour of the water was beautiful.

This is the second waterfall. This one is much more impressive but you can't go anywhere close to it. There is a wooden bridge that would can stand on to take pictures, but it gets in the background. So I had to zoon in just to get a nice picture of just the falls.

We tried to look for the third waterfall, but for some reason we didn't end up seeing it. So we just kept walking. Eventually we go to a bridge that overlooked the river and trees, then just passed the bridge there was a temple and vendors selling Jeju souvenirs.

This temple stands alone and its got a beautiful garden. I love temples and pagodas, so I wanted to inside.
Picture
There was nothing in the temple, but it was just nice and quiet. Plus there was a good breeze. When I looked at the pictures recently, I noticed the artwork that was actually on the beams. Not something you normally see in Korea.

After hanging out here for a little while we decided to finally head down to the beach. We just found random paths to get there. I thought this one was really nice.

The beach is starting to get closer. It looks so nice!

We finally get there, but it wasn't as busy as I had imagined it would be.  But it was so nice being at a beach, I went a little snap crazy. There are lots of beaches in Jeju, but Jungmun beach  was the closest beach to where we were staying.

I actually had no plans of actually swimming in the water. You know black girls do not like getting their hair wet. Also, I just straightened my hair for the trip. But when I got in the water the guys splashed me and made  me fall, so I ended up getting my hair wet. Then I didn't care, it was a lot of fun. Below is a before and after picture. The water was cold, which was refreshing since it was pretty hot out.

We were talking a group-ie, when all of a sudden a wave knocked me over and I wouldn't get up.

I forgot how much I enjoyed being in the water. I will make sure to do this more often. The beach was a lot of fun, we were in the water for hours and drinking beers. But it started to get a little cloudy and it started spitting. We decided we were going to go back to the Jeju hotel and go in the hot tub. So we packed up our stuff and walked back to the hotel. Beautiful view from the observation area.
Picture
When we got to the hotel, there weren't may people in the pool. The pool was really warm but we wanted the hot tub.
Picture
The hot tub wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. It was only 30 degrees but it was still nice to just sit and relax.

I love the beach!
