Sorry I've been MIA for awhile... I had my mother and sister come to Korea to visit me, plus work was very busy this week. Since I didn't have vacation time I could only show my family around on the weekends. When they first got here I introduced them to my friend Cathy. I met her in the Spring at the Ihwa Mural Village. She is such a sweet girl! So I had to introduce her. First, I had to go pick up my mom and sister from their hotel in east Gangnam. This was our first faml-ie picture! When we got to Gangnam we met Cathy. She was so excited to meet my family so she brought a gift. I was all over the place that I forgot to bring her one as well. But we went out to eat a sushi place called "Sushi O". Not the best sushi I've ever had, but it was decent. After this we went to a Noraebang (karaoke). It was so much fun, I love karaoke, and everyone enjoyed it. We all sang horrible but the worst singer (my mom) got pretty good scores. After the noraebang, we went to the CNN cafe for dessert. I've walked past it many times in Gangnam so I was so excited to go in...turns out it was nothing special.. It looked very formal like a news room. Lots of students were doing work there as well. We decided to go to a multibang next. A multibang is a room where you can do multiple activities like watch movies, use the internet, play games, watch TV, play board games and sing just like at a noraebang. it was about $25 and you can stay as long as you want. They have free popcorn, coffee, tea, cookies, bread, slushies, and some other deserts. We played the Korean Version of monopoly and then called it a night since. But it was a lot of fun for the first night.
