So, Lotte World Mall opened almost two months ago, and I have been dying to go there ever since I heard. You could spend the whole day in the mall and not see everything! There is 11 floors and they have different buildings depending on what you are looking for. They have luxury brand stores like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Guiseppe Zanotti. They also have luxury alcohol, the most expensive one I looked at was 1,000,000 won ($1,000) and it was a champagne. There is also brands like Zara, H&M, etc. It doesn't stop there! The movie theater, Lotte Cinema has 21 screens, the largest aquarium in Korea, it's also connected to Lotte World (the amusement park), lots of western restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe and P.F. Chang's and a lot more. Definitely a place to check out!
This mall is so convenient because it is attached to the subway, so no need to go outside! I have no idea what this big golden crown is for but it's very pretty! Everyone was taking their photos and selfies in front of it.
The floors are amazingly clean. You can tell they really want to keep this mall clean, which I can appreciate.
In the middle section of each floor they have some sort of cool displays. I didn't get to see all of the displays since go to every single floor because there is 11 floors.
This is the view from the 11th floor looking down in the Avenuel section (aka the luxury section).
As I was walking around, I passed an art exhibition. Then I decided to turn around to check it out. It was really nothing special. All the art was of nature, but it was free so why not.
Earlier today I had a dentist appointment so I hadn't eaten yet. But I was saving my appetite for P.F. Chang's. I've been counting down the opening of this restaurant. There are a lot of different types of food to choose from here. They are all the dine in type of restaurants, not fast food in this section. So far P.F. Chang's wins for service in Korea!
After eating, I continued on my walk around the mall.
So, I didn't go to this area, but this is a theme dining hall. It is supposed to be reminiscent of Jongno and Myeongdong between the 60s and 80s with a modern twist.
I didn't really have anything particular I wanted. but it sucks because a lot of the store in Avenuel are duty free. Which means you need a passport which I have but I don't have a plane ticket. I wanted to get myself a nice birthday gift but I couldn't. I am very impulsive, so now that I know I have to go to the Lotte Department store I won't do it. I also had a plan to go to the aquarium. I love aquariums! It was kind of expensive, for an adult it is 29,000 won ($29). There are over 10,000 marine mammals in this aquarium.
I thought this was so adorable. This man was looking into the water holding his young daughter and out of no where the sea lion swam up and was attracted to his phone light so it kept going around in circles. they even got a selfie with it.
This is so funny. When I see these eels I think of the Little Mermaid. Ursela, the sea witch had two evil eels. So creepy looking.
Unfortunately, I didn't charge my camera battery so it died and I had friends texting me all day which also killed my cell phone battery. So I stayed for about an hour and a half. But I would recommend staying a lot longer. Also, going a little later in the afternoon because there is less pushy children and families with strollers.
