Happy New Year! Last year on New Years Day I was working. This year I was actually able to go out and celebrate. Unfortunately New Years eve was on a Thursday night which I worked until 10 pm. I would have loved to go into Seoul to celebrate but that would entail me rushing home to drop off my work stuff or taking it with me and also rushing my outfit and makeup which I was not going to do. Instead, I wanted to go somewhere close to home so the next best option would be Suwon.

People have been going crazy about this new cafe in Hongdae where you can get your selfie in/on your coffee. I decided to check it out since you all know I love theme cafes. This cafe is called CaFace. Like other theme cafes I find the coffee to be mediocre but I don't go for the coffee only the experience.
I haven't really been out and about exploring in awhile because the weather in so unpredictable. One week it's freezing the next it's mild. Today was one of those mild days so I decided to go to a few places that have been on my to do list. I tried to go to a cafe call "All that sweets" but it was closed. I saw it on instagram, they have Christmas trees and snowmen on lattes made from whipped cream and it looked really cool. Since that was closed I went to Mecentapolis near Hongdae.
I haven't been to lots of weddings, but Korean weddings are the most informal wedding ceremonies I have ever heard of. When I think of weddings I think of big, beautiful, sentimental ceremonies, which is opposite from Korean weddings. Korean weddings are typically in a big event halls with other ceremonies going on at the same time. They are about 30 mins long including pictures then you eat and go home. Strange right?
The last time I visited Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) was last summer. I thought it was so boring because there was nothing really going on around there or even inside. Although I didn't enjoy it, this weekend I went back for a completely different reason; LED roses.
As I was on Naver, I came across a post on theme cafes in Seoul which named Assouline Lounge as one of the best in the Gangnam area. Lately I've been getting back into visiting theme cafes and getting out more alone. Not that I don't like to hang out with my friends but I am a true introvert and love spending time alone, doing things by myself and enjoying my quality time with myself. So after my date alone at the Beats by Dre theater I headed over to Assouline, which was about a 5 min walk. Like I mentioned before Apgujeong is very ritzy and glamorous like Beverly Hills. Walking in this area you only see luxury cars driving around and the lounge is right beside the infamous Hermes store.
I'm so excited to say that I finally went to the beats by Dr. Dre movie theater. It's been on my to do list along with a whole bunch of other things. This theater is at Cheongdam Cinecity in Gangnam. This movie theater has a copious amount of specialty movie theaters. I plan on visiting this theater a lot in the next 10 weeks.
