I realized I hadn't made a post about this new dog cafe I went to. I had heard about Puppy Spoon from a co-worker who had randomly gone there. He had sent me a video of a dog riding a skateboard so I knew I had to check out this cafe. Puppy spoon was very easy to find, it is very close to Gangnam station (check below for directions). Puppy spoon is a dog cafe but it's not an ordinary dog cafe. These dogs are very well trained and perform tricks like skate boarding, math, riding a scooter, etc. You can talk to these dog and ask them single math questions and they will use their paws to count the number. I really like this place because it wasn't crowded. The first dog cafe I went to was so busy, this one felt more comfortable. There were a lot of dog breeds the other cafes didn't have, which was really nice to see.
To stay in the cafe each person needs to buy a drink. They have hot and cold beverages, with ranges from 10,000 won to 12,000. They also sell puppy treats so you can give the dogs. In the middle of the cafe there is a mat with a yellow lane, which is where the dogs ride their scooters and skateboard. I couldn't remember all of the dogs names, there were so many.
Boss, a french bulldog was one of my favourites because of how bulky he is. Also his face is too cute!
I can't for the life of me remember this dog's name. But this dog was so rowdy, he was running around everywhere and very playful. We actually took part in a competition when we got to choose a dog we thought could skateboard the furthest and this was our dog. We were given 10 minutes to play with him and practice but he was more worried about playing with the other dogs. So when it came time for the competition I wasn't hopeful at all. But he actually did very well, we were actually tied for 1st place. So, we did a tie breaker, we ended up losing the second time, but we got second place.
Panda was one of the most popular dogs for obvious reasons. But I hate when people dye their pets fur, I find it looks really tacky.
This dog laid on the table the entire time we were there. Not sure why it didn't move.
This poodle is absolutely adorable, look at that mohawk. But, she is very timid, I went to pet her and she would back away or run. I was so sad because I wanted to play with her and she wouldn't let me get close.
There were a could people who kept getting the dogs to ride the skateboard, which I loved to see. Boss was pretty good at riding the skateboard.
Panda was also really good at riding the skateboard. She loves to get treats so she would always be the first one to get on the skateboard.
As I was sitting down watching other dogs play, the cute poodle just came and plopped herself on my lap. I tried so had to get her to come sit and play with me and she wouldn't then all of a sudden she comes and sits on my lap. She actually look a nap on my lap it was soooooo cute!
I guess Boss was tired after his little skateboard ride! I always feel bad for these types of dogs, they always have breathing issues and get exhausted so fast. But they are adorable.
If you are a dog lover in Seoul, I would suggest coming to this cafe. Other cafes a lot of the customers bring their dogs and are very protective, but at puppy spoon most belong to the owner so you can actually play with them and you get to see these dogs do some cool tricks.
