After recharging my phone I went to Mong Kok because I wanted to check out the night market and also goldfish street. Mong Kok is a major shopping area in Kowloon. MK was actually in the Guinness World Records as the busiest district in the world.
There were only two places I actually wanted to see; Ladies market and goldfish street.
I went to Goldfish street first because I really wanted to see what it was all about. It really wasn't as great as I thought it was. There were several stores with displays of goldfish or other types of fish in little bags on a wall. You can also go into the stores to check out more fish in tanks.
They also sell pets other than goldfish. I was stores with rabbits, turtles, cats and dogs. I was really surprised as to where they kept the cats and dogs; they were in glass cases, which we don't see in North America. Actually, in North America dogs and cats in pet stores is now rare because of the whole animal cruelty.
I saw a beta fish that I wanted but obviously I couldn't get one.
After looking at the pet stores I tried to find something to eat. I walked past a lot of restaurants but the food was either too expensive or didn't look very good. I've been eating at Tai Hing almost everyday so I wanted to eat something different. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything so I went to Tai Hing. The food is always delicious and its super cheap! For $8 its pretty filling and a good combo. Writing this post I am craving this meal so bad!!!
After eating I went to the women's market. I think maybe I got there too early because there was really nothing much going on there. I literally walked through and left because I thought it was boring. The ladies market is just a place where you can buy accessories, bags, jewelry and other things. It is frequented by a lot of women. Stuff here isn't as cheap as you would think considering it is a market, so you have to do a lot of haggling. If that is what you are into you then check it out, if not skip this market!
