So today is my last day in Kuala Lumpur. There was so many things I wanted to do but didn't get to, which gives me a reason to come back here. I really wanted to go to the beach but I decided this last minute and I didn't want to rush back to KL the same day. So I decided to stay local. I needed something to keep me busy all day, so I went to the KL Bird park. Of course I walked..... BIG mistake!!! It took me about an hour of walking and getting lost to get there and the weather was brutally hot. But I got there, sweaty, but still got there.
There were I think 5 zones with different types of birds. They also have animals like ostriches, monkeys and fish. This park is one of the world's largest free flight covered parks. Which means the birds can fly around , there is a net but it is quite high up. There are about 3000 birds here and 200 different species of birds.
At first I was scared to get near the birds because I thought they may bite or peck at me since they're quite large. But they just walk away from you.
I love owls, they're so mysterious but also very cute.
I fell in love with this owl, so I took an ussie!
As I walked around more, I liked this place even more. I feel like none of the animals would be stressed living here because they have so much space.
There were so many peacocks here. I loe seeing the men show off for women, the feathers are beautiful!
I love flamingos as well. Seeing them reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. They look so peaceful.
What a weird looking bird.
These are some beautiful parrots. The colours are so vibrant, and they were cute.
This zone was after the parrots. It is really beautiful with the waterfall.
This bird is called the Milky Stork. So that white liquid you see on the bench is from the bird. It is an endangered species, which probably why i've never seen one.
The waterfall from the front is even more beautiful. I know its not natural but it's still very beautiful.
This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect to see monkey's at a bird park. There were so many of them. Can you spot the baby??
I think I was here for about two hours, which was a good amount of time because there are so many sections with birds to see. After I was done I walked back towards my hostel, which was a lot faster. I saw these buildings and I thought they were really nice. Not really sure what they are though.
