Sorry I've kinda been MIA. I've been working crazy hours for the past 4 weeks and now I am on vacation. Currently I'm in Kuala Lumpur at the airport waiting for my flight to Singapore. I flew air Asia. Hahahaha I know what you're thinking, but you can't beat these flight prices. But I just realized budget flights in Asia vs the US are completely different. First of all luggage is very expensive. I am used to paying 20-30 for a suitcase, but air Asia charges 68.... Soooo ridiculous. Obviously I was pissed about it. Especially because it's 68 one way and I had and transfer which meant I had to pay double. I guess that's a way for them to make money since they have such cheap fares. My flight was 6hrs long and there was no food or even drinks that were complimentary. In north America they at least give you that! You have to pay for everything on air Asia, so of course I was not impressed. Good thing I ate just before I boarded my flight. Also, there are no televisions. What airplanes do not have tv's now a days? Good thing I was tired and slept most of the flight or else I would have been so bored. So my opinion of air Asia is mostly negative but you get what you pay for. The flight was cheap, other airlines would have been double the price. So, if you are looking for cheap flights across Asia and don't mind not having entertainment or paying for food fly air Asia. I will again because I love the prices and just bring a tab or something.
