I have been to the Hello Kitty Cafe endless times. The largest cafe in Seoul is located in Hongdae, which is actually my favourite. However, I just ran across the Myeongdong Hello Kitty Cafe. Im not exactly sure when it opened but im so happy it did.
This branch is pretty small, its only one floor. It's kind if expected in Myeongdong, as space is very limited. The decor was mostly the same except these cute little Hello Kitty figures that light up.
From the window you get a nice view of large billboard signs enticing you to buy. How lovely.
We got chocolate and strawberry lattes which came with a macarons on top of whipped cream. Not the best macaron i've tasted! I couldn't even eat it because it tasted so bad. The latte was subpar which I did't mind, I came for the atmosphere.
Overall, the best cafe is in Hongdae. There is a lot more seating and has a better vibe, but if you don't want to travel this far then this one does the trick.
From subway station Myeongdong, take exit 6 and keep left. The first street take another left and continue straight until you see Lotteria then make a right. Continue down the street for a few mins and Hello Kitty will be on the left side on the second floor.
