Bali is home to some of the most magical temples. They all have noticeable differences but some similarities as well. The thing I love about Bali temples is that they are literally anywhere and everywhere. They have temples in water, on cliffs and even beside homes. Here is a look at some of the temples I visited while in Bali.
Ubud Palace
Located in Ubud, this temple is home to Ubud's royal family whom actually still live in the palace. Traditional Balinese dance performances are also held here in the evening. There are also a ton of other attractions around this temple.
Batuan Temple
On the way to Batuan Temple you may notice a lot of art, if you look out the window. Batuan is a major art center and has tons of art galleries. Batuan Temple is a Hindu temple and is nearly 1000 years old. There is no cost to visit here but a donation is appreciated. Make sure to visit the back of the temple as there is a beautiful pond.
Ulun Danu Bratan Temple
Pura Ulun Danu is a water temple which sits on lake Bratan. This Hindu-Buddhist temple was built in 1633 as a temple for offering ceremonies. This complex is one of the most picturesque landmarks and important temples in Bali. For a closer look, hire a Balinese wooden boats to take you for a boat ride.
