What girl, or guy, does not enjoy a spa day? This one does! There are so many great spas in Bali to relax and unwind. If you are like me and want to indulge in a spa day but don't want to spend a lot of money then I have the perfect spa for you. This was the only spa I went to due to the fact that I wanted to do other things so I was busy.
Introducing Venezia Day Spa!!! Located steps from the Sacred Monkey Forest, Venezia Day Spa is an affordable and peaceful spa. They do not take walk-ins though so make sure that you book an appointment here. Venezia does not break the bank but does give you an amazing experience. Once you get into the spa you can see why people love it so much. The entrance is surrounded with plants and trees so it is hidden from people peeking in.
I had booked an appointment online because I like to have an itinerary planned out. I had booked the traditional Javanese Lulur/ Flower Bath which was an hour and 45 minute treatment for 185,000 IDR ($19). This treatment included massage followed by a body scrub with blended herbs and spices which was AHHHH-MAZING! A soothing yogurt moisturizer was next, then lastly the flower bath. I think this was about my second or third time even going to a spa, so for me it was kind of a big deal going to a spa. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and seated in a covered area with couches. When they were ready for me I was led upstairs into an empty room to change and have a quick shower.
After I had a shower my masseuse came in and my massage started. I have a hard time with massages because I guess I am really sensitive but massages tend to hurt me and I get really sore. There was no a/c but there was a ceiling fan which was perfect. I think my favourite thing was the body scrub because why skin felt so soft. After my massage, scrub and moisturizer my warm flower bath was drawn. I would have loved to have more flowers but that's okay. I was also brought fresh fruit and ginger tea.
The fruit was watermelon and papaya.
It was so amazing to be able to relax in a warm bath littered with flowers. I did not want to get out! I did not hear anything but birds chirping which was great considering the spa was right beside a road.
I also wanted to get my nails done since they looked hideous. Just walking around on the grounds was so nice and quiet.
I also got a 45 minute manicure and pedicure treatment for 185,000 IDR. Considering I just had a massage I technically did not need to treatment but I wanted my cuticles done. The mani/pedi space was really nice. They had decorative Buddhas which I thought was interesting. Although I loved my spa service I thought the mani/pedi was sub par. It had looked like I had done my own nails and there weren't a lot of colours to choose from.
Overall Score: ✮✮✮✮ 4/5 Stars. I had an amazing time at Venezia Day Spa. The staff were extremely nice and attentive and the spa was very discreet. I was not expecting the fruit and tea which was a nice gesture. I loved all the plants and trees on the property. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of nail polish colours and how my nail polish was applied, they didn't seem to have a lot of experience.
